Is This The Cat For You ???

The RAGDOLL CAT was first established in the early 1960's by Ann Baker of California.  Little did she realize what wonderful creatures she produced.  It is unprecendented in the history of the cat fancy that a breed has taken over the hearts and homes of so many people so quickly.  This would explain why some Ragdoll Breeders find it difficult at times to keep up with the requests for Kittens.

Ragdolls are real cuddlers ... a more loving pet you will not find.  They are a true companion with whom you can expect nothing less than an endless supply of love.  Besides their incredibly sweet personalities, you will be captivated by their beautiful coats, classic pointed pattern, not to mention their stunning blue eyes (all Ragdolls have blue eyes).

The Ragdoll is often described as "little children in
fur coats."  This breed is the ULTIMATE pet
for those seeking a "puppy-like, best friend" personality.  They are loving, intelligent, and laid-back
gentle giants with soft voices and sweet facial expressions.  Wishing to be a part of the family,
Ragdolls interact well with adults, children, and other pets. Their medium length coat is very silky, and requires very little grooming.

Ragdolls are medium to large cats with beautiful deep blue eyes.

The Ragdoll is a pointed cat that comes in seal, chocolate, blue, lilac, red or cream.  It has three different patterns:  colorpoint with dark points; mitted with white mitts and a white chin; and bi color which has the inverted white V on the face with white legs, chest and stomach.

All of these colors and patterns can also come in the lynx, tortie, or torbie versions.

The ideal Ragdoll is a well balanced cat, with no extreme features.  Altered males may reach 20 lbs. or more; females proportionately smaller.

Traditional Ragdolls Kittens are born all white, reaching full coat color at two years, and full size and weight at four years.

Ragdolls adore their humans.  They will shadow your movements, wanting to be a part of whatever is going on in your home.  They run to greet you at the door, follow you from room to room, flop on you and sleep with you.  They keep their voices softly musical.  Some learn to play fetch and be easily trained to a collar and leash.  Even traveling with a Ragdoll is easy if you start training early.

Ragdolls must be kept indoors or in a secured area because they seem to lack the instinct to defend themselves.  Their sweet, passive nature makes them very vulnerable.

Ragdolls are possibly the most relaxed of all the domestic cat breeds!

If this sounds like the kitten for you, please invest a few minutes to visit my sight, and commence on what could be the happiest adventure of your life ........
